Child Activists and Oktoberfest!

This week we worked on wrapping up our first unit of the year as the students began the week by sharing their presentations on invasive species. Next, we looked into the difference between Natural Events and Human Activities that have an impact on ecosystems. Finally, to end the unit the students had a chance to take action by becoming child activists. After choosing one of the human activities to research, students recorded videos on Flipgrid to convince others that they should also be concerned and to teach them ways that they could help reduce the impact.

Oktoberfest

We had some fun games and activities to take part in for Oktoberfest today! I think Grade 3 was one of the most dressed up classes for the event as almost all of the girls wore a drindl and I had on my lederhosen! The winner of the Guess the Number of Pretzels was also in grade three! Check out all of the fun we had doing the Egg and Spoon Race, Ring Toss, Soccer Ball Juggling, bottle/ jug holding and Schuhplattler Dance!
