This week was full of events and firsts for Grade 2.
On Monday, we welcomed a new classmate Raul to DSKI. During unit time, we reviewed our technology survey results and shared what we learnt or found interesting.
MOn Monday and Tuesday, the class continued to work on teamwork and cooperative games such as a wheelbarrow race and cross the river race where they needed to use different pieces of equipment creatively to help all the members of our team cross the playground without touching the blue! They also worked together in their teams passing a ball to see how many consecutive catches they could make. One group was able to make more than 40!
On Wednesday, Mr Hartmann joined us for a special PE lesson and he taught us about the importance of proper posture too.
In unit, we continued to learn about the dangers online and our responsibility when online. We discussed different scenarios and whether or not they were safe, as well as how we could respond to things such as cyber bullying. Next Tuesday we will try to wrap up the unit as it is time to move on to unit two!
