We were happy to welcome a new member to our class this week as Kiho joined us! If you see her, or her family around please help make them feel welcome!
This week the students continued working on the task of coming up with a product to sell or a service to offer. They began by brainstorming different ideas for a good or service and then chose one idea to pursue. To find out what the competition was offering, they researched into services or goods similar to theirs. Keeping in mind the various designs, prices and materials, students came up with their own ideas for their goods or services.
So PLEASE make sure that they finish up their Good or Service and BRING IT BACK TO SCHOOL on MONDAY!
Once they had decided on the designs and plans, those making goods started creating models and those offering services began creating posters or flyers to advertise their service.
Many students had not finished by the end of the time on Friday so they had to bring them home to finish over the weekend. We will be setting up a display on Monday and will have the chance to observe and share the creations with the Grade 4 students!
In PE, we continued our team sports unit and worked on basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. We also played some little skill-based games such as Dribble Kings (and Queens), Bump, and 21 cones. Next week, we will be focussing on players' roles and responsibilities when playing.
